Kloeckner & Co SE, headquartered in Duisport Germany, is the Largest producer-independent distributor of steel and metal products and one of the globally leading steel service center companies. Kloeckner serves as a link between steel and metal manufacturers and small and medium-sized metal customers.

In order to build a sound management systems to support the operation of its new factory in Changshu, Jiangsu province, Kloeckner partnered with ABiC information systems (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. (as service provider) to implement Kingdee K/3 ERP system.

The project, which started at the end of May, has the application scope of accounting, SCM, manufacturing and costing systems. Driven by the demand of Kloeckner to go-live the system as earlier as possible to catch up with the schedule of plant operations, it is scheduled to finish the project and go live the system at the end of August. ‘We can promise to complete everything and put the system into operation in such a short period because the characteristics of ‘easy configuration’ featured by K/3 system and commitment of ABiC consultancy resources into Kloeckner project’, said by Eberhard Hoffmann, the project manager from ABiC.

Kingdee K/3 is a well-known Chinese local ERP system which is widely used by SME German companies as a tool to support and manage their production operations. ABiC (www.abic-is.com), a German company formed in 2009, dedicates to provide procurement, implementation and maintenance service for Kingdee ERP system.
