Sales & Operations Planning

Overview

 

Kingdee K/3 Sales and Operations Planning is intended for planners of enterprises. The module connects enterprise Operating Plan with MPS, and makes Operating Plan implemented by relevant departments via Sales Plan and Operation Plan. The module also helps enterprises strike a balance between demand and supply via Sales Plan and Operation Plan, to ensure practical and feasible Sales Plans, MPs, and Inventory Plans, and to meet enterprise strategy targets.

Functions

 

1.Product group maintenance

A product group is the aggregate of products with same characteristics. Products can be grouped by market demand features or by production features. You can define multiple product groups, and display them in a tree view or by organization structure.

      

2.Version management

The plan version refers to the plan of a group structure for a specific year. The module allows you to define several simulate plans, with version number for each plan. An enterprise can assign the plan of a version as the actual Manufacturing Plan.

3.Formulate Sales Plan

The module allows you to formulate Sales Plan of an initial version for a specific year, and supports two dimensions: quantity and amount. It also allows you to break down an upper-level plan into several lower-level plans according to the product group structure, or consolidate several lower-level plans into an upper-level plan.

4.Formulate Manufacturing Plan and Inventory Plan

The module allows you to formulate Manufacturing Plan and Inventory Plan for a specific product group. The versions of these plans, however, must be consistent with the corresponding version of Sales Plan. The following strategies are available when you are formulating Manufacturing Plan and Inventory Plan: synchronization with Sales Plan, zero-inventory schedule, target inventory schedule, and leveling schedule. The module allows you to break down an upper-level plan into several lower-level plans according to the product group structure, or consolidate several lower-level plans into an upper-level plan, so that you can define desired plans rapidly.

       

5.Analysis report

The module provides four analysis reports for Sales and Operations Planning, including Sales Plan Completion Analysis, Manufacturing Plan Completion Analysis, Inventory Plan Completion Analysis, and Sales and Operations Planning Analysis, to analyze execution by month, adjust plans in time, and meet enterprise operation targets.
